The AZA4ICE project addresses the challenges to aquaculture sustainability in the Euro‑Mediterranean region by promoting inclusive and circular practices. It relies on transnational cooperation and cross‑border knowledge exchange to pioneer spatial planning for circular aquaculture beyond existing coastal marine practices, identifying and testing Allocated Zones for circular aquaculture in near‑shore and inland waters. By engaging stakeholders and developing action plans, the project fosters dialogue and creates new business opportunities while supporting the development of an environmentally responsible society. Public authorities, the private sector, and academia for the benefit of society will assess the outcomes of AZA4ICE.
