A 2nd Thematic Transboundary Meeting on innovative environmental monitoring technologies for assessment of fish stock and non-fish species will be organized and held in Thessaloniki, Greece (TTM-2, month 11). The meeting will present and discuss: - The elaborated Inventory on innovative environmental monitoring technologies for assessment of fish stock and non-fish species - Tentative results of implementation of activities T.2.1 and T.2.2, ICT Tools for data handling. Main objectives of the TTM-2 are: - assist local and national authorities and decision makers to understand and promote advanced technologies (while implementing obligations under relevant Conventions and Agreements); - support cooperation in R&D and innovation and data sharing and cross-border information exchange systems on the environment within BSB. TTM-2 will include participation of experts from all project partners countries, as well as invited external experts (outside project consortium).
Representative of stakeholders (monitoring performers, environmental agencies, local and national authorities) will be invited. There will be a "seminar" part of the event that will include also demonstrations (testing) on selected sensors, equipment, software, including use of Interactive tools - software//multi media, to better assist performers and decision makers to understand and promote advanced environmental monitoring technologies.
